Graduated from the University of Freiburg in 1956 and received his
doctorate in 1959. Studies in the field of optics, electronics, solid
state physics and mechanical engineering. Investigation of strength
and fracture surfaces with silica glasses and plastics.
For 25 years member of the Examination Board for German patent
attorneys at the German Patent and Trademark Office. 1989 to 1997
honorary judge at the chamber dealing with professional matters
concerning patent attorneys at the Upper District Court in Munich.
